چکیده

The crisis of energy due to the increasing awareness depletion fossil fuel resources, biodiesel is an alternative source and promising potential that grows rapidly, its high contribution environment friendly, renewable, non-toxicity, biodegradability, essentially sulfur-free, as a strategical renewable in substitution diesel oil contributes minimal amount net greenhouse gases. In this study, extracted used for production from waste avocado peel was investigated laboratory approach. Experimental results evaluate major optimum process parameters base-catalyzed transesterification on yield well properties. most important variables affecting methyl ester during reaction are molar ratio alcohol temperature. A 95.2% FAME conversion obtained using methanol/oil 6:1, 1.21g NaOH, time 67.5 min, 60 0C Important properties (characterization) produced are, (pHof 7.8, specific gravity 0.88, density at 15 0C, kg/m3, kinematic viscosity found be 4.22 m 2·s −1 40 flashpoint 161 Cetane number 49 well-matched relevant international standards quality produced. This result shows can compared those ASTM EN standards.

Production of Biodiesel from Different Edible Oils

Different vegetable oil based biodiesel (FAMES) were prepared by alkaline transesterification using refined oils as well as waste frying oil (WFO). Methanol and sodium hydroxide are used as catalyst under similar reaction conditions. To ensure the quality of biodiesel produced, a series of different ASTM Standard tests were carried out. In this context, various testwere done including viscosity...

Biodiesel Production From Rapeseed Oil With Waste Frying Oils

Biodiesel or fatty acids alkyl esters (FAAE) of long chain are an alternative fuel produced by a transesterification process. The potential production of biodiesel from rapeseed oil in Chile is associated to the solution of economic, environmental and social problems. Experiences from other countries have demonstrated that biodiesel prices are higher than diesel, due to the high costs of the ra...

Biodiesel Production from Acidified Oils via Supercritical Methanol

In biodiesel production, the vegetable oil used as raw material for transesterification should be free of water and free fatty acids (FFAs), which may consume catalyst and reduce catalyst efficiency. In this work biodiesel was prepared from acidified oils (AO) through a supercritical methanol route, in which the esterification of FFAs and transesterification of glyceride with methanol occurred ...
